Celebrating 21 years of BUSY!
On Friday 4th September we had a busy, noisy, joyful and informative evening in the church celebrating The BUSY Project’s 21st birthday. Thank you to all who celebrated with us.

BUSY merchandise.
We have a small range of merchandise to celebrate BUSY’s 21 birthday: Tea towels and mugs, £6.50 each or £12 for any two items and a range of stickers at 50p each. These are available from The Open Door or speak to Wilson Smith, Lynne McEwan or Mike Stears to make an order.

MacMillan Coffee Bar
A huge thanks to everyone who helped support our September coffee bar in any way. The total raised for MacMillan from the coffee bar, Sunday teas and a few donations was £500.00 – a fantastic result!

Afternoon Tea
Thanks to everyone who’s volunteered to bake and/or make sandwiches or to help on Saturday.  Bakers are reminded not to use any nuts or nut products, and to include a list of ingredients for allergen purposes. Baking can either be handed in on Friday evening between 8.00 and 9.00 or on Saturday morning between 10.00 and 12.00. Sandwiches should be handed in on the Saturday morning.  With all tickets sold, Saturday should be a busy day.

Christine’s marathon fundraiser.
Christine Turnbull is running the Loch Ness marathon on the 27th September and raising funds for The BUSY Project. Scan the QR code, go to http://www.thebusyproject.org.uk or speak to Christine to sponsor her.

Harvest Service
The Harvest Service will be on 11th October at 10.30am in St. Nicholas Church. Rev Ken Brown has kindly agreed to lead this service for us. There will be no 9.45am service that day which allows us to celebrate and worship together as we did last year. If you need transport to and from Broxburn to the service please speak to Sally North or Jim Borland. Similarly if you would be happy giving someone a lift that would be really appreciated so please let them know. You can also contact Carol in the office by emailing her at office@broxburnanduphallparishchurch.org.uk. After the service there will be tea and coffee and everyone is most welcome to stay and enjoy some fellowship. Details of Harvest gifts will follow soon

Storytime
Storytime is on Mondays at 1:30pm in The Open Door.  There will be action songs and drawing as well as a story with an opportunity for the accompanying grown-ups to chat.  Fun for all!  And books will be available to borrow.  Pass the word!  Invitation in the attachments
